As per provision of National Policy of Education, 1986 the DIET Darrang, Dalgaon was established in June, 1994 and officially started to work w.e.f. 20th August, 1994. Since its inception, this DIET has been serving for the upliftment of educational scenario in Elementary Section under Darrang district. It has been playing an important role in implementation of different programmes of DPEP and SSA till date.
